Trader Terms & Conditions
By booking a stall with us, you agree to these terms.
1.The organisers bear no liability for loss, damage or theft of items during the event.
2. Stallholders are responsible for their own property and safety at our events. We recommend obtaining public and product liability insurance to provide cover for your stall and stock.
3. Access to electricity is not guaranteed and is subject to availability at the organiser’s or venue’s discretion. Any electrical equipment must be PAT tested, safe to use, and all cables must be securely taped down.
4. Items for sale at this event must be as detailed in the application form and agreed with the organiser at the time of booking.
5. The sale of any prohibited items or items that have not received approval may result in your removal from the event .
6. Traders must arrive no later than one hour before the event opens to allow sufficient time for set-up. Failure to arrive by this time may result in the forfeiture of your stall. No traders will be permitted entry for set-up within one hour of the event opening.
7. Stalls must remain fully operational until the advertised closing time of the event. Stallholders must not begin packing away stock, displays, fixtures or equipment before the event closes. Any trader who attempts to leave early or creates a health and safety risk by moving stock or fittings during trading hours may not be invited to trade at future events, may be denied access to designated loading exits and may be reported for compromising customer safety.
8. In the interests of health and safety, all walkways, aisles and fire exits must be kept clear and unobstructed at all times during the event. Stallholders are responsible for ensuring that their stock, displays, fixtures and equipment remain within the boundaries of their allocated pitch. Where access routes are obstructed, organisers reserve the right to immediate removal or repositioning of any items to maintain safe passage for customers and emergency access.
9. In the event that a venue cancels an event, stall fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. However, we will make reasonable efforts to recover any losses or costs from the responsible party and, where possible, pass on any compensation received to affected traders.
10. The sale or distribution of food and drink from a stall is prohibited unless prior written approval has been obtained from the organiser. Approval will only be granted once all required food hygiene, health and safety, insurance and any other requested documentation has been submitted and accepted.
11. Trader spaces must be left clean and tidy and in the condition in which they were found. All rubbish and waste must be disposed of appropriately and not left within the venue. Caterers are required to remove all trade and food-related waste from the site at the end of the event.
12. It is the trader's responsibility to ensure they have read and understood all event information, stallholder guidance and communications issued by the organiser prior to the event.
13. Traders who fail to attend an event without prior notice ('no-shows') may not be permitted to trade at future events.
14. Positioning is strictly down to the organiser. Floor plans are a guide, and fair managers are fully entitled to move you on the day should they wish. No requests are guaranteed.
15. Stallholders must not set up without being shown their allocated space.
16. All floor plans are subject to change at the request of the organiser.
17. Traders who enter the venue before the designated arrival time or fail to vacate by the instructed departure time will be liable for any additional charges incurred from the venue. These fees are typically charged on an hourly basis and may be significant.
18. The organisers shall not be liable for any delay in, or failure to provide, services resulting from circumstances beyond their reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, acts of God, legislative or regulatory changes, injury, terrorism, war, fire, failure of power supply, adverse weather conditions, lockdowns or industrial action.
19. All bookings are final. The stall fee is non refundable and cannot be transferred to other events. Please see our cancellation policy for full details.
20. By purchasing a stall, you consent to Midcentury Markets using images of your products, including those sourced from your social media accounts, for the purposes of promoting the event and future markets.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Once a stall has been reserved, cancellations or transfers will only be permitted if a suitable replacement trader can be found after the event has sold out, and at the discretion of the organisers.
Where a replacement is successfully secured, a cancellation fee of £20 will apply. This fee may vary depending on how close to the event the cancellation is received and the administrative work required, including updating floor plans, reassigning stalls and amending communications to traders.
