TRADER INFO - LIVERPOOL PENNY LANE CHURCH
We're thrilled to have you join us as a trader at Midcentury Markets - Liverpool!
Please read through our Trader Info for event specific details and set up information.
This page is regularly updated to reflect current loading information. Please make sure you have read and understood the information, even if you have traded with us at this venue previously, as this may have changed.
ARRIVING AT PENNY LANE CHURCH
Address: Penny Lane Church, Smithdown Place, Liverpool, L18 1LZ
For detailed directions and transport options, please check the location on Google Maps
LOADING AND PARKING
Loading takes place via the main entrance at the front of the church, next to the John Lennon statue. The entrance is ramped for easy access.
We recommend parking on Elm Hall Drive to unload your vehicle.
Some traders with particularly heavy or awkward loads have previously driven onto the pavement in front of the church via Smithdown Road. If you choose to do this, please be aware that it is a pedestrian zone and you may be asked to move. We kindly ask that you unload promptly and move your vehicle as soon as possible to keep the area safe and accessible.
There is free on-street parking available on nearby roads, however please check for any local parking restrictions before leaving your vehicle.
For additional parking options, please visit Parkopedia.

SET UP TIMES
8:00am – Trader entry
Doors open for traders. You’ll have 2 and a half hours to load in and set up.
9:30am – Last arrival
All traders must arrive by 10:00am to allow enough setup time.
10:30am – Doors open
Be fully set up and ready to trade by this time.
4:00pm – Event closes
No packing up before 4:00pm. Please pack away your own table.
6:00pm – Exit deadline
All traders must leave by 6:00pm. Late departures may incur a venue fine.
Please be ready by opening time and remain set up until closing. It’s really important that all stalls are fully set up before doors open and stay in place until the event ends. Early packing away affects the atmosphere for visitors and can make the fair feel less professional. It’s also essential for our risk assessment and insurance that the fair is fully ready before opening.
WHAT TO BRING
Only bring the products listed in your application form. Any additional or different items must be approved in advance by the Midcentury Markets team.
The following items are not permitted: clothing; real fur or taxidermy; items newer than the 1990s; or anything that could be considered offensive.
Refreshments are available for purchase at most of our events. If you prefer to bring your own lunch, please step outside the market area to eat. Many of our venues don’t allow outside food, and it also helps maintain a more professional appearance for customers.
TABLE HIRE
Penny Lane Church offers table hire for £7.00. Please add this to your booking on Eventaly.
If you didn’t request a table when you applied but would now like to hire one, let us know as soon as possible so we can arrange it for you.
Table hire will be indicated on the floor plan with a star next to your pitch and will be ready upon your arrival. If you can’t find your table, or if there isn’t a star next to your name, please speak to the fair manager.
FOOD/DRINKS SELLERS
Food and drink vendors are required to submit copies of their food hygiene certificate, public liability insurance, risk assessment and any other relevant documentation via email. Vendors who have not provided these documents in advance will not be permitted to trade on the day of the event. All stalls must clearly display allergen information.
